EVENTS AND ACHIEVEMENTS ...

In the first year itself, NIFD, Bikaner has gained reputation and has a snob appeal among the citizens of Bikaner. Seminars were organized in Jain Girls P.G. College, Maharani Sudarshana College and Binnani Girls College on the behalf of NIFD to create awareness about the courses.

A Four-day exhibition was organized in October to display the work of students that was a major success.

Then recently, two fashion shows cum seminars were organized on 10.05.2001 and 28.07.2001 in which all the dresses and interior theme works were done by the students of NIFD, Bikaner and it created very good response. By these shows students of NIFD are continuously getting job orders and they are fulfilling the slogan 'EARN WHILE YOU LEARN'.

In the month of June NIFD, Bikaner organized a scholarship scheme to grant scholarship to meritorious students.

Then recently, in the month of August, there was a grand exhibition to display the work done by Fashion, Interior and Textile Design students. The exhibition was visited by more than thousand people and highly appreciated whose clippings can be seen in archives of RealBikaner News weekly.

Quiz programs. Guest lectures. Picnic etc. were also organized in past one year to increase the vision and confidence of the students.

There are further plans to hold such events to increase students’ confidence and making them a practical designer.
