NIFD, Bikaner was inaugurated by Miss World Priyanka Chopra on women's day 8th March 2000. NIFD or National Institute of Fashion Design is a trend setting Institute in the Field of Fashion, Interior and textile design. NIFD was born to fulfill the twin objectives of promoting fashion awareness and to meet the growing need in the Industry for trained professionals. NIFD has become the harbinger of a design revolution. NIFD is more like a rainbow - whichever angle you look at it; there is a different advantage.

NIFD has now become global. It has 110 centers all over India and abroad. Recently, it was selected in top 10 design Institutes of world by famous Donius Academy of Milan, ltaly. It is the only Institute from India being selected by Domus Academy to grant scholarship for master's programme at Italy. Every year, two students from NIFD will get selected to do master's programme in Italy in this scholarship scheme.

Now after opening of NIFD Bikaner center, NIFD is the only internationally acclaimed professional Institute in the town providing opportunity to do such highly professional courses. It is a beginning to make platform for students of Bikaner to stand in the competitive world and to train them in the emerging fields of tomorrow so that they can have a brighter career than they think.
