Son of Maharaja Anand Singh, Maharaja Gaj Singh was born on Chait Sud 4th S. 1780 A.D. 1723. Maharaja Gaj Singh succeeded his cousin in 1746 A.D. The series of attacks continued from Jodhpur even during his reign. In the first two battles the invading forces were made to retreat. The Bikaner army inflicted heavy casualty on the aggressive force of Jodhpur. Maharaja Gajsingh was granted privilege to mint his own coins by the Emperor Alamgir Second. The privilege continued until the death of Maharaja Dungar Singh. | | |
