'Generation of my Age'

Changes are very often painful and the integral changes certainly are. All innovations imply considerable changes but now a-days, innovations almost every hour some where in the world in Information Technology are shaking every soul through out the globe. The IT revolution has created a new Genre - 'The Techno-savvy-wary Genre', I would rather say. Believe me,  they are of totally different types! I discovered few of their categories. Lets have a look.

The first type of 'T-S-W-G' is innovators! Yes, they are innovating (or are in search of) new modes of generating (rather collecting) information! They seem to be passionate about 'latest'. In their quest for the 'Latest', they loose what ever they have in their mind. And mind you, their enthusiasm is really contagious. They are obsessed about keeping themselves updated and as such, their knowledge is hands-on, they generally think ! With the zeal of moving ahead, they leave behind the rest of world (or we let them to go away)! They are innovators, no matter, trying always to know earlier than the rest - how to use what others have made! The highly charged guys are energised from deep within and ambitious and quickly find an ideal role model (to follow!). Technology is the tool in their hands to boost their self-esteem and status. They are 'The God of small bits' - trying to know every bit behind the screen.

The second type of 'T-S-W-G' is adopters. They adopt so easily what ever may bring benefit to them (and usually the tested things!). The boom is IT  sector is perhaps due to these people who quickly adopt and drop methods, ways, protocols and so on.... For them, 'It is the velocity that kills man; not the bullet itself '. You can never gauge them as  they work very silently so that no one can know what they are planning for. Since their potential is tapped, they are playing important role in cascading the changes in IT.

The third category is of laggards. Yes, laggards - simply resisting changes per se. They use every possible strategy to ensure status quo and put forth creative arguments to prevent changes to enter their field. They usually find crystal gazing an idle time pass and quietly  wait for the current trend too to pass without altering their habit to use technology of their own age !

Each category is trying to supercede the other. When they all come under the same roof, you are sure to witness corporate war! Coding, encrypting, script, Asp, Sql, Cgi, Perl, Java, dhtml, linux, NT, hacking, cracking....... an endless list to discuss upon, thanks to the search engines and search directories that made these highly techno-words as simple as bread and butter! Beware of these 'T-S-W-G'. With mere superficial technical know-how, they can wash your brain or at least may damage your dream-machine, your gateway to the world.
